Other than focusing on your sheer determination, willingness and ability to change, here are some other tips for succeeding with your resolutions for 2015 &#8211; as well as some AT that can help you along the way!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Willpower does not happen magically, it is like a muscle that you have to use and practice with. The more we practice and use it, the stronger it gets.\u00a0 So, don&#8217;t give up easily if\u00a0 you are frustrated by that new technology &#8211; ie the fitbit you wanted for Christmas, the Wii fitness station or that computer app\/program that sounded like you would learn a whole other language in just one week.\u00a0 Keep working at your willpower daily &#8211; you will be surprised how quickly your willpower will become habit. <a href=\"https:\/\/abilitytools.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/fit-bit-flex.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-722 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/abilitytools.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/fit-bit-flex.png\" alt=\"fit bit flex\" width=\"448\" height=\"161\" srcset=\"https:\/\/abilitytools.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/fit-bit-flex.png 1021w, https:\/\/abilitytools.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/fit-bit-flex-300x107.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Support is an important part of both improving your own resolve, as well as holding yourself accountable.\u00a0 Tell friends, families, and co-workers about your resolutions, and don&#8217;t be scared to ask for a little encouragement or support when you need it.\u00a0 Your loved ones might be able to point out techniques or assistive devices that have worked for them.<a href=\"https:\/\/abilitytools.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/light-box.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-723 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/abilitytools.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/light-box.jpg\" alt=\"light box\" width=\"242\" height=\"242\" srcset=\"https:\/\/abilitytools.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/light-box.jpg 900w, https:\/\/abilitytools.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/light-box-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/abilitytools.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/light-box-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/abilitytools.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/light-box-50x50.jpg 50w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 242px) 100vw, 242px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">One main reason we fail on our resolutions has to do with our stress level.\u00a0 When we are stressed out, it leads us to turn to comforting (sometimes bad) behaviors like eating, drinking or smoking&#8230; among other things.
