Here are few items that are helpful in some of our staff\u2019s kitchens:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>CFILC\u2019s Program Coordinator Karla Leon uses a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Non-slip-Chopping-Approved-Reversible-Easy-access\/dp\/B07KPKDYJF\/ref=sr_1_11?keywords=color+coded+cutting+board+set+commercial&amp;qid=1668458530&amp;sr=8-11\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">colored cutting board<\/a> with pictures to keep things organized. \u201cSometimes the kitchen can feel very overwhelming especially during the holidays when you\u2019re cooking multiple dishes. A colored cutting board helps me stay organized and keep certain foods apart from each other to avoid cross contamination\u201d.&nbsp;<\/li><li>CFILC\u2019s Program Manager Kathrine Crowley has a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tovala.com\/smart-oven\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tovola Oven<\/a> so that her sister with Down syndrome can \u201cscan packages or pick a food in the app, put the food in the oven, press start and have a perfectly cooked meal with no need for plain language translation, and no over\/under cooking incidents or forgetting to turn off a heating element\u201d.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Communications and Marketing Coordinator Jacob Monka uses a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.target.com\/p\/cuisinart-v-blade-mandoline\/-\/A-79729892#lnk=sametab\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mandoline Slicer<\/a> in his kitchen. The \u201cmandolin slicer has been the best way to slice vegetables to the thickness of it and volume\u201d.&nbsp;<\/li><li>CFILC\u2019s Public Policy Manager Dan Okenfuss utilizes multiple AT in his kitchen. \u201cAll four of us in my family have dwarfism, so when we remodeled our house eight years ago, we lowered the counter heights to 29 inches. We also mounted the kitchen faucet on the side and found a counter-top stove with all the controls in the front.
