This VGo enables a person to replicate themselves in a distant location and have the freedom to move around as if they were physically there. With VGo, you can see, hear, talk, interact, and go anywhere. VGo is not a traditional videoconferencing/telepresence solution where two or more people meet using specially equipped rooms or PCs in their offices.

I. 10:00 – 10:15am - Welcome / Introductions / Updates from Ability Tools

II. 10:30 – 11:45am -Bridging the Gap Between No-Tech/Low-Tech and High-Tech AAC Presentation by Mia Rickenbach, LoganTech

Sometimes there’s no straight line from low-tech AAC to high-tech, dynamic communication devices. Learn about a system that can reignite progress for students who’ve stalled.

IV. 1:00pm- 1:45pm-The Language of Lines by Project Manager BJ Dietz Epstein and Designer and Accessible Media Specialist Julie Sadlier

The MAD Lab at LightHouse works on creating tactile images and maps and 3D objects

V. 1:45-2:15pm- Access Technology Services at LightHouse by Director of Access Technology Erin Lauridson

Access Technology (AT) is exciting, ever changing and has become the big equalizer for persons who are low vision or blind. Our exceptional and trained AT staff are all users of Access Technology.

VI. 2:30pm- 3:00pm- AT Problem Solving Session: This time is an opportunity for individuals to voice their AT questions or concerns and start a conversation with others involved in the AT community.
