I. 10:00 – 10:15am - Welcome / Introductions / Updates from Ability Tools

II. 10:30 – 11:45am – Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) Basics by Philippa Bellamy, PhD, CCC-SLP Speech-Language Pathologist at CTEC, Communication Technology Education Center

AAC is the use of personalized methods or devices to increase a person's ability to communicate. Who can benefit? Explore a variety on “low Tech” and “High Tech” methods of communication and proven strategies for implementing communication systems for individuals with multiple disabilities.

III. 11:45 – 1:00PM – Lunch (on your own)

IV. 1:15pm- 2:15pm- Best Magnification/Speech Tool – ZoomText Basics 101 by: Mark Hanohano, AT Instructor Junior Blind

The revolutionary technology in both programs displays crystal clear text at all magnification levels. The ZoomText delivers a collection of innovative and exciting new features that extends ZoomText usefulness beyond the computer screen.

V. 2:15pm-2:30pm- Break

VI. 2:30pm- 3:00pm- AT Problem Solving Session: This time is an opportunity for individuals to voice their AT questions or concerns and start a conversation with others involved in the AT community.
